History Repeats Itself in Movies!

So I’m a 90s kid. I was born in the late 80s and I grew up with so many amazing movies, TV shows, cartoons, toys, comic books, YOU NAME IT! I KNOW IT! Hopefully.

Anyways, the last few days I’ve been nothing but blessed to have my childhood come back to me. And I know I’m not the only one. You too. Admit it. Just the other day, the Jurassic World Trailer premiered and I was like Thank Jesus! Before that, Batman v. Superman. And before that, Star Wars. In the future, we can expect an Indiana Jones movie and another Terminator movie! ARNOLD CAME BACK! HE SAID HE WAS COMING BACK!  BAM! Terminator Genysis.

But reboots and remakes started way back whenever. I mean they’ve rebooted Robocop, TMNT, Godzilla, and many other movies. They’ve even put our favorite books we grew up with on the big screen (Harry Potter Series, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit). Harry potterMy point is that someway shape or form, our 90’s faves are becoming this generations comeback. Younger generations might not understand what this means to us because it could be all new to them. Of course unless you’re one of those cool parents that let your kids watch everything you love. I’m happy that the 90’s are coming back and stepping a leap into the future. Who knows what doors will open when Jurassic World releases. Maybe a whole new trilogy? Maybe? Please?

Yeah I know that the Avengers, Batman v. Superman, and all the new superhero movies were never really movies previously. So how can I say I grew up with these movies? Well, The Justice League is a great example. I loved watching the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited cartoons. Aside from that, Spider-Man was a favorite and so was the Batman Animated Series. Just like Harry Potter, our favorite comic book heroes are coming back into a whole new media form (well not new, but you know what I mean).

All said and done, I’m astonished that I get to enjoy the nostalgia that the entertainment industry have given us.
